What Happens If I Don’t Recognise My Warning Signs?

In my previous posts, I talked about recognising my warning signs, and what I can also do about it. But what happens if I don’t recognise my warning signs?

1. I’m at risk of being admitted to hospital

Although it’s the last place I want to be, if I don’t recognise and manage my warning signs soon enough before it becomes worse, I will need to eventually check myself into emergency/hospital.

2. I act on the voices

I am a voice-hearer. When the voices comes, they are normally negative but if they’re left there for too long, I will start listening to them and act on the voices. When I mean I act on the voices, it could mean I am about to do something really bad to myself. The voice will tell me to end/hurt my life in different ways.

3. I isolate myself from everyone

I will stop contacting and reaching out to friends. I isolate myself and think I can do everything on my own. This is not good as reaching out to my support network is so important when dealing with this kind of mental health issue.
