So I Recognised My Warning Signs. Now What?

So in my previous post, “My Warnings Signs When I’m Getting Unwell", I mentioned some warnings signs that I’m getting unwell - which includes change of sleeping pattern, racing thoughts, hearing voices and increased spending on money. Now that I recognise my warning signs, what do I do to help “flatten the curve”?

1. Do Art

I am a very creative being and doing art relaxes me. I am mainly an acrylic painter. I paint anything that I feel at the time. When I’m happy, I do art. When I’m sad, I also do art. I do art whenever I feel like it. And it always relaxes me in the end.

2. Listen to Music

Love love LOVE relaxing music - especially accompanying it with art. I listen to music not just to relax me, but also to motivate me. I listen to music when I first get up in the morning, when I’m eating, and before going to bed.

3. Prayer

I pray to God for guidance, refuge and strength. He is my Saviour and praying is a powerful tool that I use. I turn to His strength when things becomes tough.

4. Deep Breathing

Breathe. Just breathe. It’s quite self-explanatory.

5. Journalling

Writing down positive thoughts about your day. Or wake up and write one thing you’re grateful for. Write down anything positive.
