Good News! The Doctor Lowered My Medications

I have been on Abilify as long as I could remember, I started on the Abilify tablets but it wasn’t working well so they changed it to a monthly injection years and years ago.
I talked to the psychiatrist the other day and shared how well I am doing in my life.
I am studying, working full-time (for over three months now), keeping my studio clean and tidy, I exercise 3 times a week as well as being a responsible cat mum!
It’s not easy to do all of this I tell you.
I’m lucky I have always been an optimistic person too.
I don’t let the past affect me too much, despite my trauma and incidents.
But yeah.
So the psychiatrist agreed to lower the dose of the Abilify injection, AND stop my Metforman.
I still can’t believe the psychiatrist said yes to lowering my meds when I asked her.
Cause my last suicidal attempt was in November 2020.
But I have proven to do so well these days.
I used to think that to lower medications, one has to be ‘doing well’ for years and years.
But I have proven that one can recover quickly in a period of 6 months or so.
I am so grateful of all the support I have too.
