Keep Going: Sharing My Story Of Hope
Recently I was asked to be interviewed and to share my story of hope again. Over the years, I have shared my story not just in person at events, but also online as well. I feel very grateful and privileged to be invited to speak at different kinds of events. I have shared my story of hope to an audience as little as one person (I’m not kidding!) and to also over 500 people. I’ve learnt to curate my story in a way that is powerful, impactful and leaving a positive message at the end. I could share all my trauma and all the negative things that’s happened in my life, but I normally don’t share this way. Yes, I am who I am now because of the bad things that happened in my life and it has ultimately shaped my emotional resilience. I absolutely love public speaking and sharing my story. Every time I share my story, I realise my confidence in myself increases. I used to get really nervous with public speaking but over the years I have learnt to tell myself that wherever I share, whether that’s online or offline, I don’t get as nervous and fearful as before.
