A Letter To My 14-Year-Old Self

Dear 14-Year-Old Suzanne,

If only you knew you had a beautiful smile, even though your friends back then said they were crooked, and you believed so.

If only you knew then that every time you cried and had a breakdown cause you felt you weren’t good enough, would shape who you are the woman today.

If only you were more patient, especially with your studies, you would see the achievements you made today with your studies.

If only you told yourself you were worthy, more capable and stronger than you thought yourself would be.

You are a child of the universe, and you keep on learning, growing, finding things and experiences that empowers and inspires you.

You wanted all the answers all at one time, like any other teenager who’s also trying to find themselves.

You must know that love is hard, and it takes time and patience to make it happen beautifully - even though you felt your family weren’t supportive enough at the time.

You are strong, you are worthy. Don’t believe what other people say about you.

You will grow up to be a woman of dignity and of faith.

From Suzanne
