A Letter To The World From A Girl With Bipolar

Dear World,

My name is Suzanne and I’m a mental health blogger. I openly share about my journey of being diagnosed with Bipolar. I started my blog in 2013 and I didn’t find my niche in blogging for mental health until a couple of years later.

Sometimes I hear voices and sometimes would want to act on them.

I haven’t been back to the hospital for a long time and I am recovering well from my mental health issues.

I received a lot of stigma especially in the Vietnamese community around my mental health and I feel there’s still a lot ‘of work’ to be done within the Vietnamese community. This is why I am here trying to educate people through my lived experiences that people who have Bipolar or whatever - we are human and we all have these human experiences.

Sometimes we have gone through trauma and all we need is someone with a non-judgmental listening ear who will sit with us and tell us that we matter.

That’s all.

We matter.

You matter.

And please don’t give up.

I won’t give up on you.

Love, Suzanne
